Comparative Study of Gasoline Fuel Mixture to Reduce Emissions in the Metropolitan District

In the present investigation, behavior of fuel consumption was studied due to high cost gasoline and its price increase in Ecuador recent years, for which reason different mixtures have been obtain lower consumption. The optimum mixture rate a T18SED e-tec II engine, Multiport Electronic Fuel Injection System (MPFI) between extra gasoline, super ethanol obtained on two urban roads city Quito (Ecuador). For first test, 10% 90% were made, so on, following tests: (20–80), (30–70), (40–60), (50–50), (60–40), (70–30), (80–20), (90–10) % gasoline. Then, with concentrations 5% made. results showed low Maldonado Avenue 20% 80% obtaining value 2.9 L, while that presented higher 100% 3.4 L. At end each tank completely drained, engine control unit (ECU) reset test. data acquisition carried out through an OBD (on-board diagnostic system) installed tests.
